Both! They just serve different goals. But as I prefer remote work, I value virtual more of course.

Prefer live tbh:) but still have most of the meetings virtually, though:) Do you think there is a difference in building relationships during meetings? Sometimes, you don't need that, and a virtual one is enough, but sometimes, you want to sit face-to-face

I prefer virtual with recording because I can then use tools like Transcript LOL to help with Video and Audio learning by extracting key points, summary, topics and chat for meetings, videos or podcasts.

Both types are an integral part of our life. Balance and timing are key! Virtual to solve an issue, live - to have a pleasure.

Basically each one has its benefits. Sometimes virtual meetings are essential to save up time (much more flexible as well). In addition virtual meetings allow everyone in different time zones to actually be present whereas in live meetings, such an endeavor will be much more difficult to set up (assuming you are working in groups in different locations/time zones). There also great virtual tools that assist in meeting minutes and concept transcribing and you can ofcourse revisit the virtual meeting any time if recorded. Live meetings allow for better understanding of the group dynamics as feelings as easily conveyed, and it allows for better and more complex interactions (imagine having 7-10 people in a virtual meeting trying to express their individual opinions at the same time).
