Upvotes or comments, what do you think is best?

We are launching next week and I've read differing opinions on what is more important to ensure a successful launch between upvotes and comments. 
Anyone have any insights or experience to share on this?

Upvotes definitely count, but I believe daily rankings can be boosted by the quality of upvotes or comments.

For example, if you use the launch archive to look back at products that launched on the 2nd of November 2023, you'll see the product that ranked 3rd (455 upvotes), has almost 200 less upvotes than the product that ranked 4th (616 upvotes).

@ashleigh_mccabe overall, upvotes do have the most weight, but there are other factors at play in rankings

Upvotes can often be vanity but comments are what can keep you in reality.

They're both very important. A good combination of those is probably the best possible option.
