Twitter alternatives (Bluesky, Mastodon) a waste of time?

I'm already "wasting" a lot of https://replicatecodex.com time on Twitter (not really wasted since founder interactions are really important, but not sure it's *really* the best use of my marketing time as I'm sacrificing pSEO work time to use it). Do I need to add Mastodon and Bluesky to the list too? Has anyone actually had any success driving traffic from those sites, or is it just yet another thing that will split my attention from activities that will actually help with growth?

I installed Mastodon the other day after a few of my online connections mentioned switching from Twitter to it. Since then, I haven't used it and now there aren't enough people using it

@imjohnkoo thanks John, good to know I'm not missing out on something big!

I would suggest choose one platform and go all in. Twitter is probably the best place to be, just in terms of number of users. Almost everyone on mastodon is also on twitter but not the other way around.

@mikeyoung44 Yes, more so in case of long form Content. Although, if you want to go hard on the long form Content, I would advise a newsletter or blog with seo rather than medium. But for getting started, unless it's something related to web3/crypto medium >>> hashnode. Cheers!!

@tej_sai Thanks Tej! Have you found that the same MO is relevant for say, long-form writing (Medium vs. Hashnode)
