To Hunt, or Not to Hunt - Hunting Etiquette

Looking for some hunting etiquette advice here. I'm new(er) to Product Hunt, and although I am working on some products of my own that I intend to launch in the future, I have noticed that many of my favorite products are not on PH yet. Naturally, the hunter in me has awakened! What advice to you have when it comes to hunting products you enjoy? Is there proper etiquette to follow when hunting other founder's products?
