For me it's using a project management tool (I use Google Sheets/Excel and GitHub), music (lo-fi chill beats), and ChatGPT for help.
Joy Ehsan
@scottlabsai How do you use Excel or Google sheets ?
Tyler Scott
@joyehsan I define the columns by department (marketing, development, website, etc.) and then list action items under the categories. I then color code the status of those action items or who's responsible for the action item.
Joy Ehsan
@scottlabsai so how do you measure your progress on those action items ? Like green would mean its done well and red would means its not done ?

1/ Focus blocks with pomodoro technique. 2/ Prioritize & plan a day before - this was the BIGGEST one personally for me. 3/ Set yourself up for being productive with enough sleep, a good workout, good nutritious food and a distraction free environment (meaning lock your phone in the other room! šŸ˜…).

hey sis: here's what i've personally found helpful: 1. pomodoro technique: work in focused 25-minute bursts, then take a 5-minute break. 2. time blocking: allocate specific times of day for specific tasks. honor those appointments with yourself. 3. declutter workspace: a tidy space often translates to a tidy mind. keep distractions at bay. 4. two-minute rule: if it takes less than two minutes, do it now. 5. prioritize: understand the difference between urgent and important. tackle the important tasks first. 6. batch tasks: group similar tasks together to reduce cognitive load. 7. set clear goals: knowing your 'why' can help maintain focus. 8. eliminate unnecessary meetings: if it can be said in an email, skip the meeting. 9. tech breaks: occasionally disconnect from screens. helps in mental refresh. 10. continuous learning: sometimes, the best way to be more productive is to learn a new tool or skill that makes tasks easier. and, it's all about finding what resonates with you. no one-size-fits-all. experiment, iterate, and find your groove. šŸ”„āœØ

@shajedulkarim_ Well Said. Thanks for the tips. I think I like the two-minute rule. More or less the other things keep me in the loop. I went through the notesNudge, the idea is quite simple and it did put a smile on me. Great work.

@san_geetha1 iā€™m curious what got you to smile, sister? šŸ˜Š

For me, I guess building discipline and a habit of working has been more effective in getting me to do the work. As for tools, things like ChatGPT, Notion and spreadsheets definitely help speed up my work.

@sagarpatel10 , True. I am trying out notion and reminders to become consistent. I feel cultivating a simple disciple is a way to go.

Make a list of things i want to hold my self accountable on attributes ( like hours worked, distraction level, wake up time, work efficiency) and then give my self a numerical score on what i feel like i deserve in those attributes. Also , meditate every two hours, it recharges/refreshes my mind.

@joyehsan Such a unique idea. How to manage this?
Joy Ehsan
@san_geetha1 i have my own app for this. The app calculates all your "grades" via an algorithim and displays the output . You can then graph the data ( radar chart, line graph ).
Sangeetha
@joyehsan Thats Nice. Do you have any intension of making it public?
Joy Ehsan
@san_geetha1 yea its already public. I am going to launch it on producthunt after i get a good domain name, but you could be first user lol. https://dots-prod-tau.vercel.app/. If you want to make any feature requests or want to give me any feedback, that would mean a lot to me .

The following tips will help you accelerate work productivity: 1) Set clear goals. Define your objectives and prioritize tasks to stay focused on what's important. 1) Create neat schedules. Organize your day with a well-structured schedule, allocating time for specific tasks. Use professional project scheduling software for this aim. A good example is here ( https://ganttpro.com/project-sch...). 3) Minimize distractions. Identify common distractions and take steps to minimize them while working. 4) Take regular breaks. Short breaks can rejuvenate your mind and prevent burnout, enhancing overall productivity. 5) Delegate. Don't hesitate to delegate tasks to others if it's feasible and efficient.
