    1. Energy: show your passion through your voice and gestures. 2. Demonstration (seeing is believing). You’ve got to show them something. 3. Make it simple; do not use jargon or buzzwords like revolutionize or empower without explaining exactly how and what you are doing. 4. One idea per slide; do not include many things on one slide. 5. Less is more; always go for the minimalistic design. 6. Tell a story that inspired the idea. 7. State who your competitors are and make it clear how you are different or better. Do not say, “I do not have competition.” That is a rookie mistake a lot of folks make. Somewhere, there is a synonymous market that you could compare yourself with. 8. Show the numbers behind your numbers. Don’t just throw stats like $30M in revenue in 2030 without explaining how you got there. Make it make sense. 9. Answer any questions concisely. That means you should know the ins and outs of your business. 10. Do not use a script; it destroys the connection with your audience 11. Talk about yourself. Show why you are the right team to bring this idea home. Have you experienced the problem? Do you have the expertise to build the idea? 12. Show a bias towards execution. Have you made any progress so far? 13. Unless it is a standalone pitch deck, do not include many words on slides. Your audience can not read a paragraph while listening to you simultaneously. 14. Prioritize the most important parts of your business. Do not try to address every problem there is with your solution. Focus on the essentials only.
