One of my past clients which was a B2B SaaS company, they were running heavy ads on LinkedIn and conducting industry conferences. They got a lot of new signups through these activities but guess what happened next after people created an account - Nothing. Because the onboarding had a locked wall saying "Upgrade". This was such a HUGE blocker for them. Most new users were dropping off from this point. This company didn't consider the kind of experience their users were having.
