Product people fail sometimes. It is a myth to assume there are product managers who have never failed in their product journey. However, it is crucial to measure how expensive was their failure. How much effort, energy, and organizational costs did the company and its product team invest before they realized that their “innovative” and “revolutionary” idea is not something that their customers care about? Unfortunately, nowadays there are many technology businesses that are still choosing the most costly ways to build their products, and after each failure, they have a huge price to pay.
