Choosing between working on corporations and startups, we make a decision based on our desires and goals. Those, who are working for startups, I can understand them better, because I have no experience working for tech giants yet. Startup workers want to create something significant, they want to work on cutting-edge technology solutions or develop them, and they want to be a part of close-knit team, instead of feeling just like a part of a mechanism. "Companies can (and should) grow, but leaders often view the number of employees they have as analogous to their success. However, this often leads to over-hiring that managers cannot keep up with; productivity and profits fall, employees feel disengaged and layoffs loom" - https://www.entrepreneur.com/leadership/dont-let-culture-fall-to-the-wayside-in-tough-times/450004 I know, how could it be important, when your company leader asks you about something, listen to your ideas and discuss them in meetings, give you feedback, or give you a piece of advice. As the team grows, it gets harder not to lose this connection with people, when you are a CEO or other C-level manager. You hire HR or even a department, but they can’t replace your care. Remember the day you came up with the idea of creating the company, remember the first team members you interviewed by yourself, remember you rely on them and believe them. Remember all this way you’ve passed with different team members. Don't those who are still working under your leadership deserve your attention, at least sometimes? Growing your team is not only about hiring, it is also about storytelling. That could be the story of your success because the team knows, you are care
