Today I made my first launch of [Famxplor](https://www.producthunt.com/posts/famxplor) which helps finding activities for family vacations. I was surprised of how much proposals to buy upvotes and promote my launch I received! I declined all of them Btw, PH did a great job in the [launch guide](https://www.producthunt.com/launch/before-launch#hunters:-do-you-need-one?) explaining why paying somebody to promote your product this way will backfire. Here are some quotes from my inboxes: > my 100+ active collaborators are ready to endorse your product! > Get 150+ guaranteed upvotes on Product Hunt. > 100% Guarantee that your product will rank in the top five positions. You can Order Upvotes any time during the competition > No Bot, 100% Human Work. Every Member Has 100+ Point Account Did you receive such messages? Feel free to share the best or worse proposals for fun and education.

My advice: ignore them and focus on contacts that can add value @fabdurso

Yup, received many too. I even did an X post with a curious example: https://x.com/Vitor_pvsoares/sta...

Thanks for sharing your examples @vitor_pvsoares ! Future launchers will know what to expect beforehand If the goal of launching is to get genuine upvotes, comments and users for your product then buying false ones completely misses the point

When it rains, it pours - especially in the land of upvote offers! It's like a digital carnival out there, with everyone peddling their virtual popcorn.

Indeed @thestarkster, spammy upvotes make the situation worse not better
