Absolutely, Identifying target audience during Pilot testing is critical as startup are trying to solve a unique problem for a larger TAM
@raju_sivarama_gadiraju 100% and its one of the hardest things to do, a job that never ends. After identifying your start something even more crucial, understanding your target audience. Pain points, triggers, etc.
I can see all agree that the most important thing in startup marketing is understanding de our client.
Here are my recommendation in order to accomplish that:
- Do lots of user testing and interviews
- Read: THE MOM TEST this book is key to learning how to ask the correct question and find the truth. Startup founders and very good at lying to themselves and believing our lies.
-Create a feedback loop
-Test one hypothesis at a time and create KPI to measure that specific hypothesis.
read the mom test, cant explain how much this helped.
First of all, it is very important to choose the right customers, and then you need to create a follower base from the very beginning.
Since there is not much financial capital, it is necessary to overcome many processes with the least financial loss. As a result of this situation, you have to do even the smallest detail yourself, and your work spreads over a wide area.
@arda_finsmart Understand your audience is the key. For me my focus now is 100% in understanding: doing user testing, feedback loops, interviews, the correct questions.

Startup Marketing is a process used by startups to find and connect with their early adopters. This process is extremely important for startups as the traditional marketing strategies don't work for startups or early-stage companies. It is much more than just writing a good copy or posting ads on Facebook. It is a process of finding and connecting with the right kinds of customers and talking to them in such a way that they feel that they need your products.
@zajdo_csaba You are absolutely right, next-gen marketing is no longer just plain advertising, it includes much newer areas and much more details. Marketers have to constantly improve themselves.
@zajdo_csaba 100% agree, in such early stage marketing should be used to understand the audience, find insights, iterate and create the product. The most common mistake is thinking marketing in startup is something you do after you have the product.
