I connected on Linkedin with one of those people and promptly unfollowed as soon as I realized what he was trying to do. Other people I connected to were really helpful and I'm glad we connected.

Gonna get me a stripe link.

Let me know about your launch, I'll be sure to familiarize myself with your product. I don't guarantee 100% support, only if I like your product. That's fair. I may also not see a post on LinkedIn - this happens less often. And yes, I usually come across great tools here, many of which I use. That's why I show up here so often )

Everyone has their own reasons. Sometimes it's just coincidence or coincidence. Or statistics)))) You have to rely on yourself and create options

Unfortunately, it happens. Fortunately, not everyone is like that.

I've experienced this as well, and it can be demotivating.

It's definitely a two-way street, Sunny. I've noticed that genuine engagement tends to build more reliable connections, who are there to support when you reach out.

@sunny_sogra I see there's an issue; the link provided in the reply isn't functioning. I've checked out your product, "AI Community Widget," and I've supported it. It's impressive that you're currently ranking at #7.

Reciprocity is certainly key in building a strong community on platforms like Product Hunt; however, it's not uncommon to encounter one-sided interactions. My approach is to continue offering support where I can, while nurturing relationships with those who demonstrate mutual engagement and support.

I can understand . Unfortunately that's common. Most of the makers will be active before launch and on launch day

It's true that I've experienced this, and to be completely honest, I want to criticise a few launches and tell people not to give them the upvotes 🤧

Sunny, it's unfortunate but not uncommon; reciprocity can sometimes be a one-way street, especially in large communities. My approach is to continue supporting others regardless, as the right connections will reciprocate when it truly matters.

Surprised by normal human behavior?

It seems like a one-way street sometimes. Building a genuine community should be about mutual support and growth. Let's aim for more collaboration and less ghosting.
