I was on a call with a prospect recently, and he asked me to provide concrete figures he could expect once the project began. 😑😑 I had to explain how exact results can never be predicted on social media and how my providing him with one would be blatantly lying to him. You can never ascertain the results of a social media campaign; it's just not possible. 🤷 What I do is ensure that adequate research about your target audience is made to understand things about them that would significantly improve your marketing strategy"s odds. What do Founders and CEOs on here think? Let me know.

Actually there are ways when you can predict concrete figures. Especially if it's B2B marketing on LinkedIn. Like generating a specific number of leads per day. Converting into warm contacts. Closing. Just percentages.

@valilus Totally agree, But then a large majority of social media marketing KPIs cannot be estimated, estimation comes in when basic A/B test runs have been made.
