Should I build a ’Thought of the Day’ app?

Hey folks, I saw the new Instagram update of sharing notes. And I got an idea to build an app that let users post just one text post a day kinda like thought of the day. And followers can like/comment. So as a user I could go back in my profile and see what I was thinking/doing some weeks or months before. It's like a mini journal. And the app will be pretty niche.
So what do u guys think about it? Should I build it or does it sound like a boring app?

As someone who has spent a lot of time thinking about and working on different app ideas, I can tell you that building an app is no small feat. It takes a lot of time, effort, and resources to turn an idea into a fully-fledged product. So, before diving headfirst into building a "Thought of the Day" app, it's important to consider whether or not it's really worth the investment.
One thing to consider is whether or not there is a real demand for such an app. Will people actually use it on a daily basis? Is there a clear target audience for the app? Answering these questions will help you determine whether or not there is a real market for your idea.
Another thing to consider is whether or not the app will be able to generate revenue. There are many different ways to monetize an app, but it's important to have a clear plan in place before you start building. Without a solid monetization strategy, it may be difficult to recoup your investment and turn a profit.
Finally, it's important to think about whether or not building a "Thought of the Day" app aligns with your personal goals and values. Are you passionate about the concept and excited to work on it every day? Do you have the skills and resources necessary to bring the app to life?
In the end, the decision of whether or not to build a "Thought of the Day" app is a personal one that only you can make. If you're confident that there is a demand for the app, that it can generate revenue, and that it aligns with your goals and values, then go for it! But if you're not fully committed to the idea, it may be better to consider other options.
I would encourage you to take the time to carefully consider all of the factors I've mentioned before making a decision. Building an app is a big undertaking, so it's important to be sure that it's the right fit for you. Good luck!

It just feels like a more limited instagram/twitter though?
What unique value does it add compared to other social media sites?
@richard_gao2 This app gonna be more specific. It's more like a diary. And there will be no other distractions other than just expressing your day in few words and your followers can interact with it. Its' like twitter minus the distractions.
@richard_gao2 @saheen_shoukath Sounds like a good idea, I did share my concern in a different post a minute ago about this specific idea but more as a PH dedicated page where makers could share their progress, etc.
Yes, this is a good idea to make yourself more self-disciplined
sure i love to use it...go for it

Monetisation would be a problem with a product centered around this theme
