Should founders take the weekend off?

I haven't had a proper weekend in months, and I'm totally fine with it bc both my team and I love what we're building.. probably not a sustainable approach, so how do you balance getting a lot done & resting? Did you take time off during your first year as a founder/co-founder? How much time do you take off?

I think you and I are on the same page, and probably in semi-similar phases of building. I have no problem spending the entire weekend putting my head down and getting through what needs to be done, but, as you said, probably not sustainable to a certain extent long term (granted I still have time for hobbies and personal / reflection time. In an ideal world, hiring myself out of a job down the road would eliminate the need for this, but that is a future issue

@kmkmkm Agreed, there should probably be a balance to it, i.e. put your head down when times are difficult and take some time off when things are a bit slower What are you building? I'm also curious now 😁

@david_abaev1 Hey David! currently have a platform/tech-enabled service in development that seeks to solve the issue that is placing seasoned Operators within recently acquired portfolio companies of PE firms. It is a massive problem in the industry that takes up too much time and money, and the only current solution is extremely archaic - so a co-worker and I set out to solve it!

You should take weekend off sometimes. Btw, what are you building?

@atulghorpade Yeah, probably no single way to do this! We're building databar.ai (www.databar.ai), it's a no-code interface for APIs :)
