Alright, today was a balanced day ✌️😌
Here’s what got done today:
1. Improved image on Product Hunt’s teaser page
2. Went through the remaining 210 websites on my list and submitted LaunchFast to the ones that made sense
3. Tried making a new logo
## Improved image on Product Hunt’s teaser page
A friend of mine has been helping me a lot to improve my marketing. He recommended I add social proof to the teaser image of LaunchFast (launching on the 27th) 🤩 🙌
## Went through a list of 400 websites I could submit LaunchFast to
This took a lot of work. Most of the websites are 💩. Tomorrow I’ll curate a list of websites for you guys 🙌
## Tried making a new logo
My current logo got a 7/21 from an expert. So I want to do better. Today I've made a new draft that got a 14/21, so I’m improving, but the logo still looks very amateurish. I’m eager to do better tomorrow 💪
## Big wins for today
1. Regained balance ⚖️
2. Zaid reviewed my logo and landing page 🎉 (let me know if you'd like his contact)
3. Had a great call with another friend (Joshua) 👊, who’s building MyForeverBooks
## Tomorrow’s plan
On today’s call with Joshua, he told me I should focus almost entirely on marketing, but also fix a few easy things with the CLI. The CLI is the first contact my customers will have with my product and I’m obsessed with giving them a feeling of delight.
At the moment the feeling is of being impressed - developers are impressed by how fast they can get a full-blown, production-ready, batteries-included, app online with everything set - deployment infrastructure included. But it isn’t delightful yet.
I’m sitting on 9 test developer drives I’ve recorded full of golden nuggets of tips and recommendations for things I could do to improve the CLI experience. I’ll take action on that tomorrow.
So, long story short, tomorrow I will:
1. Curate a list of websites where people can submit their products to, and publish that list on LaunchFast's website (to drive traffic)
2. Take action on Zaid’s feedback and create a better landing page and logo
3. Extract insights from the 9 recorded test drives with devs and make a list of improvements
4. Implement the improvements on that list, one by one, for a delightful CLI experience
5. Record a video showing off LaunchFast (and posting it EVERYWHERE 😄)
6. Keep looking for people to help on 𝕏, because I love to
That’s it, folks. Tomorrow’s going to be a busy day 😅 Have a great weekend ♥️
