With just a $50 marketing budget, the key is to think creatively and focus on tactics that give you the most impact for minimal cost:
1️⃣ Build pre-launch hype:
Use social media (free platforms like Instagram, X, LinkedIn) to share teasers, behind-the-scenes content, and engage your audience.
Create a free landing page using tools like Carrd or Mailchimp to collect emails from interested users.
2️⃣ Boost visibility strategically:
Invest $25 in a small social media ad campaign targeting a niche audience on Instagram or Facebook. Use interest-based targeting and compelling visuals to drive clicks to your launch page.
Use the remaining $25 to boost your best-performing post on X or LinkedIn to amplify organic engagement.
3️⃣ Engage niche communities:
Post about your launch in relevant Reddit threads, Facebook groups, or forums. Be authentic and avoid being salesy—focus on solving problems and starting conversations.
4️⃣ Leverage partnerships:
Collaborate with micro-influencers or creators in your niche. Many will promote for free or in exchange for early access to your product.
5️⃣ Maximize organic reach:
Ask for support from friends, family, and your network. Personal outreach can bring in the first wave of users who will share your product further.

This budget is basically $0—but hey, challenge accepted 💀
The key here is to lean on organic growth, prioritize stuff that punches above its weight, and squeeze every bit of value out of the resources we already have.
Here’s the game plan:
1. Work the Network
- Ask the Founder and team to list everyone they know who might benefit from or share the product. With the right effort, we’ll get at least 200 names, many from the founder's circle.
- Put together a pitch—value prop, demo, and a content brief—so everyone can shout it out pre-launch (yes, senior folks, too).
2. Lean on Organic Growth Loops
- Pick the right growth loop: viral, content, product-led—no budget for paid loops, but we’ll make the others work. All focus on leveraging your product to help them achieve their jobs to be done faster, better and/or cheaper. Match ideal personas with key use cases.
- Engage with community leaders: offer a personal walkthrough of the product, address feedback, and set them up as advocates with resources and perks.
- I assume with that budget, your product is already close to or proven to be a product-market fit (having a decent user base or natural advocates that you have close relationships with). Announce the launch with a heartfelt thank-you to early supporters (natural advocates). Shout out their feedback and tag them to make it shareable.
So how do I spend the $50?
- $20 on a ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini subscription to turbocharge content and planning.
- $30 for milk tea treats for the GTM team who are mostly one intern and one incredible growth marketer after all this hard work.
This is classic scrappy startup mode, and we’ll make it happen! 🚀
