Recently laid off employees creating their own products

Hello, I know of several people in my network who have been affected by recent layoffs in the tech space. Everyone who I have talked to is planning to work on their own ideas instead of looking for a new job because how bad the market is currently. Either they are taking time off and traveling until job market turns around or they are going to work on their own projects. Is this going to create an influx of indie projects and how will this change the already competitive landscape for micro SaaS founders/owners? Is anyone worried about this?

It is possible that the current economic climate could lead to an influx of indie projects, as more people may be looking to start their own businesses or work on their own projects instead of seeking employment with established companies. This could potentially increase competition in the market for micro SaaS (Software as a Service) founders and owners. However, it is difficult to predict exactly how this will impact the competitive landscape, as it will depend on many factors, such as the quality and uniqueness of the individual projects, the effectiveness of their marketing and sales efforts, and the overall demand for the products or services being offered. It is also worth noting that starting a business or working on a new project can be a risky endeavor, and it is important for individuals to carefully consider their options and make sure they have the necessary resources and support to succeed. It may be helpful for individuals to seek advice from experienced entrepreneurs or business advisors, and to do thorough market research to understand the needs and demands of their target audience.
