PWA Browsers for IOS

Recently Dribbble has discontinued its IOS app. This got me thinking about the future of progressive web apps. Since mobile browsers are essentially native apps, why not make a mobile browser that is suited to run PWA's that feel like native IOS apps? Chrome isn't bad on mobile, but it still feels janky. The benefits are obvious here from a production standpoint.
Would love to hear thoughts on this from a technical and UX standpoint.
