Product to generate sprites and textures for games

I am a young developer and, like many of my peers, I often fantasize about creating a video game. I enjoy the coding part, but past attempts have shown that I am not skilled at creating the art needed for video game development (and sadly, some basic kind of graphics are needed for most kinds of games). And frankly, I barely have the time to create the code AND the art. Can you recommend some good tools to automate some of the graphical work for video game development?
