I really wonder how everybody is looking at this? I see more and more developers on X, for example, working on their personal branding by developing in public. With that, I mean sharing their work and tips and tricks. And is building a personal brand better than cold outreach for BD?

Must have in 2024. I think traditional advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, and others) are no longer as effective. People have learned to tune out the noise of constant ads. As a result, everyone is now following interesting social media profiles that cater to their specific interests.

I think a personal brand is necessary. Cold outreach, paid ads, email, etc. all are distribution that u pay for w time and money. But if u have a following u can send out a single tweet and validate an idea instantly
