Hey everyone, happy to answer your questions about anything, but I'll probably be the most help if it's related to sales, go-to-market, partnerships, messaging, value-props, WIIFM (look it up) and anything else sales/growth related.

@josh_edmond You won my heart with the last line 😍 I won't forget it, like ever. Yeah with the increasing use of tech, we are forgetting natural human interaction. Thank you Josh for sharing, and all the best for your coming launch 🙌 PS: I might have something in the oven to help you analyze your launch at a more granular level at launch.watch

@joanduarte based on my experience, cold outreach is a necessary skill/tool to use to close deals. Before building your product, or during the early stages of development, you should be speaking to prospects in your target market to understand their pain. This will not only help you identify PMF, but should give you a nice list of early prospects. Cold outreach doesn't have to be a cold call, even though I love them, but I also use chatbots I find on prospects websites. Talk to the rep or whoever responds, pitch them your value prop and ask them for the name of your ideal persona. Be creative. You'll be surprised how willing people are to help you help their business. Last thing with cold outreach, treat everyone with respect, it's just a decent way to be.

@joanduarte @josh_edmond Thanks for asking Joan and off-course thanks for the wonderful answer, Josh. Connecting with the businesses before working on your product is something that I believe is necessary too. Do you know any community platform that helps in doing so effectively?

@shivam010 I wish I did. That would certainly make it easier. The concept is known as "getting out of the office" and the whole idea is that you be active in meeting people. If you have a local co-working space, that's a great place to start. Many of them will offer a free day every month, or a free week promotion and it's great to take advantage of. I'll be doing one tomorrow. Your local Chamber of Commerce or other business organization is another great place to start. They often have business directories that you can take a look at and most people look forward to supporting other business owners. We like to rely on tech, rightfully so, it makes our lives easier, but we can't forget human nature and the value of interaction. Go out, meet someone in a qualified space, start a conversation, and good luck. A key pointer is don't go to sell, but go to learn.
