It’s the old age question, but I want to see something. Reply with your choice.

Macbooks and Windows. Linux never made much sense to me (although it’s loved by many - no doubts).

All of them. My main OS is macOS and it's been that way since my first Apple product, a Mac SE (back in the late 80s). I have a spare mac mini with Windows on it to do some app testing and just to make sure that I my knowledge is not too much obsolete. And lastly, an antique mac mini is running Ubuntu for my Plex server.

Largely depends on what you want to do. Gaming - Windows. Work-Mac and so on. I am using Windows and you know kinda satisfied with, well of course i can have problems with activation and other types of problems, but they can be solved, like for example by using https://kms-tool.com/ and other software, so for me it is not a problem. For me Windows is the best option really

@elenat eheh I know the feeling, I am now on Windows (shocking for a programmer!) and it took me a while to get back to it

Windows: Widely used across various devices and known for its compatibility with a vast array of software and hardware, Windows offers versatility for gaming, business applications, and everyday use.

I used Macbook and Windows interchangeably. So, I can say what it feels like going back and forth between them. In overall experience Macbook is my current choice. However, about 3 years ago after many years on Mac I moved to Windows BUT I got it on a top spec Asus Zenbook which at the time (pre M Mac cpu) had better screen and CPU. It was a bit more expensive than top spec Macbook at the time. It worked together with Windows like a dream. I was also surprised how similar both OS are these days (even shortcut keys). There are some unique features on both OS but not major to pick one OS over another. At the end a combo of Software and Hardware is critical. Windows on top-spec laptop works very well but can leave a bitter taste if ran on a crappy hardware. I used to try Linux once in a while but never found it as a good office OS. Even a simple mouse traction feel is not what I like.

MacBook: Known for its sleek design, user-friendly interface, and integration within the Apple ecosystem, it's favored by many creative professionals and individuals who appreciate the macOS operating system.
Indiana Joshi
Linux: Known for its open-source nature, customizable options, and strong security features, Linux is favored by tech enthusiasts, developers, and those seeking a high level of control and customization over their operating system.

Choose based on your workflow, software compatibility, preferred operating system features, and your comfort level with the platform's interface and ecosystem.

@ali_farag I agree completely but what would you choose?

Linux is smooth where as windows is more user friendly. Linux is beautiful if you like using command line. As a beginner windows is better but as a programmer, linux is more helpful. I've not used Mac so can't comment on it.

@yogi_rahul which one do you use the most?
Rahul Mishra
@misterocean I used windows for almost 1.5+ years but then moved to linux due to blue screen death error of windows. So now I use linux mostly. It is very smooth.

I have been a Mac user since 2011. I can't see myself switching back to Windows. I also love how my iPhone connects to my Mac.
