I believe leadership means being a strong part of the team, both professionally and personally, while knowing when to pivot and steer the wheel in the right direction. This can be pulled off with good communication skills, an ability to view things both from the micro and macro perspectives, and a decent dose of confidence and self-(and team)-esteem.

I love this question. Obviously, there are many important character traits, but I think it's crucial that leaders demonstrate empathy, emotional stability, and accountability.
