Is social media dead for startups? How can social media platforms benefit startups?

What are your thoughts on social media? 🤔 - Read the latest news? - Hang out with your friends? - Get involved in popular activities? Most startups, I’m sure, would see it as a platform for gathering user feedback or an easy way to connect with other startups for potential collaboration opportunities. But are they truly beneficial? If so, in what way? From my perspective, - Twitter for Building Startups Networks - Facebook for Finding Users’ Feedback - Linkedin for Building the Brand Officially - Tiktok for expanding brand influence... We’ve also tried other platforms, such as Instagram and YouTube, but they’re underwhelming. I suppose Instagram is better for fashion brands to show their gorgeous pictures to attract customers, whereas YouTube is prohibitively expensive in terms of time and money, as you know, creating a long video is not an easy job. What do you think of it? Do you agree with with me? (Like to know my attempts at social media platforms, please check out my blog at: https://gemoo.com/blog/how-to-use-social-media-as-a-startup.htm) I’m kind of social media rookie, so I’d very much like to hear and learn from your experience with social media marketing as a startup. @carmen_judson You're welcome Carmen. What's your favourite social media platform to do marketing stuff?

Very interesting. We tried to promote our startup challenge on different platforms, but the best growth was after posting it on Indiehackers and Reddit.

@v_m10 Yes, I also found Indiehackers is much helpful and I'll keep posting there. However, I got stuck with Reddit, any subreddits you recommend joining in?
