For founders who do not have a big audience on social media and no funding, do you think Product Hunt is all they need to start a SaaS business?

Hey Gyen, Product Hunt is a good place to get visibility and buzz, but the key is making sure you convert the leads to emails. It would be a waste to work towards a big splashy launch, only to not capture any leads. Before you launch, make sure your lead capture engine is working, and follow up with folks! Other ways to get buzz (even without a social following) include: - Cold DMing and emailing influencers who might be interested in your product to ask to demo it for them. You'll need to compile a big list of several hundred, but a small percentage of them will take you up on the offer. The goal is to get them on the phone, show your product, and ask if they'd talk about it to their big audience. - Tapping into communities or networks you belong to. You say you have no audience, but you've probably worked with a bunch of people. You likely have at least 500 connections on LinkedIn. You can message people who know you and trust you to boost the message, share the product with a friend, give advice. Hope this helps. Good luck!

It's a good place to start, to create a buzz around your product and get early feedback/support/validation, but it doesn't always lead to conversions. I'd recommend keeping PH as just one part of your plan, but also building on all other fronts (social media, other platforms, etc)

Product Hunt is a great platform where you can build a community with other like-minded individuals that will also help you throughout your launch

A product hunt is a good start but you will need more. For saas business comparison websites like Capterra & G2 are usually good sources of referral traffic. Linkedin outreach could also be a quick win: https://medium.com/@fabian-maume...
