Is money the goal or just like gasoline for your engine?

Practical answer, money is what makes things moving whether it be for a want or a need.

It's 70/30 for me. Money is the 30% and helping businesses achieve their goals is the 70%. Money is an important vehicle, and we all want to live comfortable and make money to grow our businesses. So I won't deny the importance of money. However, having had multi-million dollar businesses in the past, once you have the money and you're comfortable, your goals shift to things more meaningful. Like helping people, giving back, changing industries, creating movements, etc. I've come to realize most of us don't need a lot to be comfortable/happy. What we need is a purpose. That is more meaningful than money in the long run.

When I was younger, I used to daydream about fancy cars and huge houses, all those material things. But now, as I've grown a bit older, I've realized the true importance of time and memorable experiences over materialism. I aim to live a life where I can spend my money on truly unique and fun adventures:)

money can buy happiness

I believe money should be viewed as fuel for your engine to do better things. While it's important to have enough money to live comfortably, the true goal should be to use that money to pursue your passions, make a positive impact, and create meaningful experiences. What are some ways you have used money as fuel to achieve your goals?

How could money be the goal? I can see no reason for this. Making the world a better place for everyone could be a goal for a rational person. Money would be needed as fuel.

Money is tool that can make your life easier and possibly more entertaining. Money is important thing to have but falls far behind your health, happiness, and purpose. If you don't have any of those, than money isn't worth the paper its' printed on. Some say money can lead to happiness, but I think the better route is finding happiness in what you do, and if your very good at it, the money will come with it. Plus what's the point of money if you have no purpose, I think that must be worse than being broke. Imagine getting up in the morning and having nothing to be apart of, work towards, help with, or do with your time that will make some type of mark in the world.

Money, in essence, is a means to an end. It provides resources and choices, but the ultimate goal for many is the purpose behind earning it. Whether that's to provide for a family, build a legacy, or drive innovation, the "why" is often more significant than the "how much".

Money is not that important, as long as you have a lot of it... Or perhaps just enough of it. I mean I have a day job. It gives me enough money to live more than decently. What I am doing here, beside that, is not for money : it's a hobby, or better a passion. But still, earning even a little of money from your passion means that what you are doing is good enough for people to pay for it, so it is rather a reward, a proof that you are doing well. (That being said, my extension is free, I still need to figure out how to monetize it, but I want to monetize it for the reasons I mentioned: to prove that it provides enough value that people can pay for it.)
