Is it just me, or have you also noticed a decline in ChatGPT’s writing skills?

The previous versions were really good at writing. Now, in version 4o its skills seem to have deteriorated. Version 4 could understand even one-word prompts, but it seems that's no longer the case. It's also much slower and freezes a lot now. What is your experience with 4o?

It’s not you. I do find 4o sub par in content generation too at times. It also sometimes lacks in correctly deciphering the changes you’re asking it to make.

@namrata_arya It looks like after OpenAI announced plans to increase users and cut prices -- the costs for this will be enormous. The only way they can handle these costs is by reducing the quality of the output, making AI dumber.

Ah, Version 4o of ChatGPT seems to be going through a "word count recession," huh? It's like watching a once-great writer struggle with a case of writer's block. Let's hope it gets back on the literary track soon!

Yes, Rada I have noticed this as well. It’s like the tool is stuck with a particular set of words and sentences. It’s getting easier to know when ChatGPT did the writing. I guess this is a plus for content writers who actually write their content.

@joy_ogide I agree! Nothing can replace human talent, and it seems like everyone is starting to realize that. I’ve noticed a lot of complaints and disappointment on Twitter about AI not meeting their expectations :)
