I've been hearing a lot of buzz lately about email marketing being "outdated" or "dying." But is it really? Or is it evolving? Some say social media and instant messaging have made email obsolete. Others argue email is still the most direct and personal way to reach customers. What's your take? → Are you still seeing strong results from email campaigns? → What strategies are working for you in 2024? → If email is declining, what do you think is replacing it? Let's get a lively discussion going! Share your experiences, data, and predictions. Let's learn from each other!

Email marketing is crucial. I do not own any social media, so my followers are not really mine. I started because of collecting emails and sending my weekly newsletter because it is another way of communication but you are closer to people.

@xspiral you need to create some incentives but of course, your community needs to be engaged, you need to nurture them. Then, they are more likely to read your posts and see activities you do (eg asking them for signing up for something).

If it's done well, email marketing can be extemely effective, however it can take a while to build up to this point. Organic marketing will always be the most effectively scalable effort!

@liam_oram Valid points about the effectiveness and scalability of email marketing. Your observation that it takes time to build up is important - it's often a long-term strategy. The emphasis on organic marketing aligns well with building genuine connections through email.

@michael_pell You've pinpointed a crucial distinction in modern email marketing. Generic, impersonal approaches are indeed less effective, while personalized outreach can still have great results. Your comment underscores the importance of tailoring content to the recipient's interests and needs.

I don't think anything is ever really dead. It depends on which industry you are marketing too. believe it or not, pamphlets, flyers & door-to-door marketing works in some industries that still operate in traditional ways
    Mayuri Maokar
@my3_murthy You make a good point about the context-dependent nature of marketing strategies. Indeed, traditional methods like pamphlets and door-to-door marketing can still be effective in certain industries. This highlights the importance of knowing your audience and choosing the right channels for your specific market.
