Hello everyone! We are building BeforeSunset v2.0 for people to plan and reflect on their days in the most efficient and easy way possible. https://www.usebeforesunset.com/ Do you think it's important to take a step back and think about how your day went, plan for tomorrow, and make sure you're on track with what you intended to do? Or is it better to just go with the flow and hope for the best?

I prefer setting a plan for a week and then reflecting on it at the end of the week as it helps me in getting things done without interruption and reflect on my goals at the end.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to whether daily reflection and tracking goals are necessary for success or if going with the flow is better. It ultimately depends on the individual's personality, work style, and goals :P

Making a daily review is necessary for success. I don't just do it myself and also ask all my team members to do so. Please put me on the waitinglist, I'd like to try the BeforeSunset out.

Tracking goals is necessary in being successful. Goals serve as pointers to determine how far you are with completing a project or task. So accomplishing your goals is a sign of success in itself

Daily reflection is probably a bit of overhead. Have a north star and a methodology that works for you that allows you to constantly move forward and improve along the way from mistakes. Take the example of Toyota and Amazon where, even though defects sometimes are shipped, once the defect is identified the mechanisms are put in place for it to not happen again.

Weekly reflection and tracking goals suits me better; or the pressure could be overwhelming...

I don't tend to make it daily and don't recommend to do so, if you have high anxiety. Managing my productivity makes me anxious. I tend to do it twice a week. Mid-week and weekend recaps are best working approach for me. By making this I feel the control by don't get overwhelmed.

@aidai_zu I love this comment as I suffer from the same. Doing it too much leads to anxiety. It's all about finding a balance. Reflection and goal tracking is important but we need to do it in a manner that helps us move forward. If it just adds anxiety then you are better off finding a different way :)

I use a Trello board to track my daily activities, but I find that reflecting on my progress can sometimes cause me to feel anxious. As a result, I only do this type of reflection every 3-4 weeks.

Reflection is necessary to know whther you are in the right path or you are going around necessary things. It doesn't have to be a daily reflection, do what you suits you better. There is no One-Size-Fit-All solution

Having a general plan in place can help us make the most of our time and be more productive. So I would say it's a good idea to strike a balance between going with the flow and being intentional about your actions.
Definitely reflecting on yourself or your achievements at the eod is important, but could also cause panic and stress. Sometimes it's better to go with the flow. But as a team, i guess using this app would definitely help reflect back on the goals or set targets ! Good thinking, all the best!
