I think It's difficult to predict with certainty what will go viral in the future, but AI-generated music has been gaining popularity in recent years. Many companies and individuals are experimenting with using AI to create new forms of music and there is a growing interest in AI-generated music as a form of art and entertainment. However, as with any new technology, its widespread adoption and recognition as a credible form of music creation will depend on various factors, including the quality of the AI-generated music and the level of acceptance from audiences and industry professionals.

I’m very interested in this space as a consumer, creator, and investor. Riffusion and Never Before Heard Sounds are two compelling startups in the space worth watching.

I think we're going to see a lot of creative output in the electro/house music scene with the rise of AI-generated music. Reckon soon after other genres like pop and rap may start incorporate bits of AI-generated music into their production too. Seems AI won't only be eating software. It is also going to eat the entertainment world :).

I would check out www.beatbot.fm for AI-generated raps (songs on the roadmap). We're working on some more features, there's currently a short song generation. Stay tuned!
Definitely a market for short form music to avoid the whole issue of music rights for things like social media posts and clips etc

@maxwellcdavis I second this. AI might not come into the main music industry but it sure gonna take a part in the social media music

This can bring immediate relief to low-budget productions. Even the Generative AI that can create fictional human-looking characters can bring disruption to the low-budget video industry too.

@davidguetta @davidgue @jeconfine do you know what AI sites did he use? I image he used chatGPT for lyrics. And the site he used to create the song out of the lyrics?

We at Endel would love this to happen! We've been working on the AI-powered functional sound technology for 4 years (any feedback is very much appreciated in case you use Endel or are curious to try the app). Something I learnt along the way: it can't be a pure AI generation, a tool will always need a creative force (a sound designer / a collaborator artist) behind it. And one more thing, there is so much more to this field than the music rights thing (I believe it's so last season already). For example, in our case, it's an opportunity to contribute to overall mental health and wellbeing.

It definitely will!

100%, but I think it would take something to accelerate it like an open source AI like stable diffusion. Fingers crossed one comes out! Would love to get it on an API for devs with evoke-app.com

Artificial intelligence generated music has the potential to be integrated into our daily lives, but it's important to consider the authenticity and naturalness of the output. And with the fast-paced nature of viral trends, it's not surprising that AI-generated music could also potentially go viral. Nonetheless, it's crucial to keep in mind the impact this may have on the industry and its listeners.

As with any new technology or creative medium, it will likely take time for AI-generated music to establish itself and for people to fully understand its potential. but yes there is an evolving future of it.

The thought of this is absolutely mind-boggling! AI has come a long way but I am a firm believer that Human Emotions - the true essence of all arts - can never be imitated to the level of perfection. AI would make a terrific mainstream hits maker, but never a true artist.

It's possible that AI-generated music could go viral in the future, as the technology continues to improve. However, it's also important to consider factors such as musical style, marketing, and public perception, which can have a significant impact on a song's success!

Great article on AI-generated music! I think it's fascinating to see how technology is changing the way we create and experience music. AI-generated music definitely has potential to become more popular and even go viral, but like you mentioned, there are many factors that will impact its widespread adoption and recognition. I believe it's important to approach AI-generated music with an open mind, and to evaluate it on its own merits as a form of art and entertainment. As AI technology continues to evolve and improve, I think we will see even more exciting developments in this area. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this interesting topic.
