Hi all, I've built a number of web sites over the years, but only recently took on the world of mobile apps. I released an app just over a year ago in the US that forwards SMS 2FA OTPs to a trusted group of users. It helps couples and small business teams that share online accounts deal with 2FA without having to bother other users and ask for an OTP that was just requested. The app gives subscribers a new phone number that they can then use to update the shared account's SMS settings. Incoming messages are forwarded to users though push notifications, in-app messages, and until just recently, SMS messages. In deciding to go international with the app, I had to wrestle with what numbers to give to subscribers, and if it was going to be feasible to forward SMS messages out of the US. I decided to give out +1 US numbers, and integrate WhatsApp messaging as an alternative to SMS forwarding. Now that the app is available in 30+ countries, I plan on launching on PH this month.
