Indie hackers/ Solopreneurs if you are not building a SAAS what are you building?

There is so much talk on twitter mostly about building a SAAS and subscription based models. What about those of you who are doing one off payments or using affiliate marketing, how is that going ? Or any model that isn’t a SAAS ? I’m asking because I’m interested in alternatives
