I guess just copying every word from a video and sitting for 3-4 hours straight is one of the worst ways to learn software development. Instead, watch videos in shorter segments and take notes in your own words. Then, practice by coding along with the video and working on small projects. This active learning approach is much more effective.

@ankita_deb2 Guilty pretty much on this one, I remembered I once follow a game development tutorial (Unity) for like 8 hours and just give up in the middle, because I don't even know anymore what am I doing in the end

@dorothy_thompson I never really think of going to Bootcamps because of the price, but looking at people that still going to the bootcamps. What are somethings that bootcamps can offer that usually can't be get by self-learning?

For me the worst way to learn software development was trying to learn by just reading books and docs without actually building anything. It's so important to actually write code and build projects to solidify your understanding. Also, trying to learn too many things at once instead of mastering the fundamentals. Focus on one language/framework and really go deep before moving on to others.
