Undoing the digital cloud feudalism that silently dominates our perception of living in a capitalist society that is NOT the actual truth in e-commerce today.
I HIGHLY recommend checking out "Techno Feudalism" by Yanis Varoufakis!
He suggests that we submit to the dominance of major technology companies—such as Amazon, Google, Apple, and Meta—by providing them with our data in order to utilize their cloud services much in the same way that serfs, also referred to as peasants, would farm and work for their lords, and in exchange, were allowed to reside within the lord's domain.

If I had the power to withdraw one technology, it might be recommendation algorithms. These algorithms are pervasive across modern digital platforms, and while they do provide content that aligns with user preferences, they also encapsulate people within personalized information bubbles, effectively creating an information cocoon.
@umar_saleem TikTok has been linked to a number of mental health problems, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and self-harm.
It also lowers the attention span of its users and presents a wrong impression of reality.

AI, because I can see potential unethical use of AGI and AI technology in future. I agree that it has several benefits but what if it goes out of our hand? Several years ago where deepfake image and video manupulation tools where not easily available to everyone is now can be accessed easily.

If I had the power to 'undo' one technological innovation, it would be social media. Its initial promise of connecting people has been overshadowed by its role in spreading misinformation and fostering social division.
@ryan_motiff i agree on that.
@ryan_motiff also a major issue caused by social media is exacerbating comparisons between people, resulting in an overall decrease in happiness
@ryan_motiff is product hunt under social media?

Probably the invention of plastic, there is just so much pollution, and we have so many other options nowadays that are sustainable.
I don’t necessarily have a technological innovation I would undo. But do you think AI will be one of the technological innovations we will want to undo in the future? Why/why not?
@umar_saleem totally agree around the ethical guidelines! I actually made my first discussion post about this!
