Hi All - I'm Andrew, Cofounder of http://www.LevelFields.ai. After selling my last startup to a PE firm, I started trading stocks using an event-driven strategy I learned while running my last startup - a media intelligence software company. We got paid 50-200K/client annually to monitor reputation threats and news about public companies that could impact their share prices. Over time, we saw threats formed recognizable patterns that could be mined and analyzed by good software.
I sold the company in 2019 to a large private equity firm and used the time off to dive deeper into investing and trading. Using what I knew about news monitoring and events, I traded heavily on events and started making enough money to warrant making it a FT thing.
Meanwhile, I was dabbling with the old team and some academic PhDs in linguistics and physics to create an AI tool that automated data gathering. When COVID came in 2020, it decimated markets and crystallized the idea of turning my event-driven investing methodology into an AI-based investment research application that was so easy anyone could use it.
We wanted to democratize access to AI, so it wasn't just a tool for the billion-dollar hedge funds. We put a lot of money into building it and overcoming the technical challenges was very difficult. We completed our alpha version and soft-launched LevelFields last Fall. Today it is monitoring millions of events for 6300 companies, sorting through thousands of documents and news to surface amazing investment opportunities and emerging growth companies that normally fly under the radar.
The app works well, we solved the problem, and users are happy, but our marketing conversion rates are too low. I'd love your feedback on the product/marketing and would happily respond to any questions or help in any way I can.
thank you!
Andrew
