I'm launching Potato 🥔 this Thursday 4/20: Your investment ideas, built with AI

Hey all, this Thursday 12:01am PST on 4/20 we're launching Potato! It's been a long journey.. we built a cool fantasy trading platform but then had some painful legal feedback.. and as it turns our we'd built a totally illegal platform.. But our small foundation team has always had a strong interest in futurism and thematic investing so we decided to adapt what we'd built into what we think is a pretty interesting startup. Please read on!! The product: Let AI unpack investing your ideas. Simply give it a scenario: "we're at war with china" or "a run on the banks" and let the AI work out an investment thesis and stock/crypto selections for you. Socialise and compete with other investors in the rankings. One of the interesting mental challenges for anyone that has invested in stocks or crypto before is dealing with the differences between first, second and third order thinking. Basically, an event has a cause and that cause has positive and negative effects. Those events then also have positive and negative effects which are somewhat harder to predict but usually seem obvious afterwards. We all saw this with the Covid pandemic. Initially the 'trade' was buying stocks in Moderna, Pfizer, Takeaway food, PPE medical equipment and so on.. the obvious things. .. Then it became Zoom/Peloton and at home technology stocks.. Then it became recovery stocks Airbnb and so on. What we're trying to build is something that can leverage AI to understand this - both from a short term or long term point of view (depending if you are a certain type of investor). And we want to get really good at it. On top of this, we've tried to make it fun, social and interactive but are sure we're missing a pile of features.
