Here's the link to my first launch. 👉 https://www.producthunt.com/posts/mist-for-chrome Here's the link to the second. 👉 https://www.producthunt.com/posts/mist-for-chrome-2 If you actually clicked on this link, you would have seen that the first Product isn't actually live. That's because the PH team took down my product to allow me to post a new one. Let's start from the beginning... I had originally made a listing on PH that was scheduled to launch in about 2 weeks. I chose this timeframe because I was planning to create an explainer video for my product, Mist. During these 2 weeks, I couldn't complete the video, so on the very last day, I went in to change the date of my launch and reschedule it. I set the new launch date and clicked on update. However, when I refreshed the page, the date was still the same. I knew I didn't have enough time, so I contacted support immediately. The guy from the PH team asked for some info but then vanished. He didn't answer for a full three hours. Meanwhile, it was approaching 2 am in my country, Greece, and I went to sleep. When I woke I checked on my phone, and I saw 10 new signups for Mist, my Chrome Extension. I wondered where those signups came from. I checked social media to see if a post had gotten viral, or I had ranked for a keyword on Google. Then, I realized that the guy from PH hadn't canceled the launch, and my product was live on the platform. I immediately contacted support, which was actually very helpful. I provided all the evidence and they allowed me to post my product for a second time. Meanwhile, they deleted my first post, claiming that it violated the community guidelines. I know that this is not a step-by-step guide on how to launch on PH twice, but I think it's a valuable lesson that every situation, no matter how bad it seems, can be beneficial in the end. From the few hours that my product was live, I gathered some initial data on what to expect from PH. My product managed to get 11 upvotes and 10 signups in about 5 hours, with zero promotion, while I was sleeping. Hopefully, we get the #1 Product of the Day this time.
