How will LLMs impact recruiting?

Hiring is sooooo hard 😤. Finding and selecting the right candidate is time consuming and challenging. Interviewing is a long and intense journey for the hiring team and the applicant. How do you use (or would want to use) the latest advancement in AI to help you in hiring? 💡

Could it be possible in the future, your recruiting bot is automatically reading some resume generated by candidate's bulletin points.... and your AI bot summarize them in to bulletins... so essentially LLM's impact is 0. Ofcoz, this is a joke. :) I believe LLM can be very helpful for both candidates and recruiters, esp. for the hiring team to automatically screen the cv.

@gary159 If you want to hire the best, you do it through network or you just reach out to the best.

LLMs (Large Language Models) will revolutionize recruiting in the edtech application by enhancing the candidate screening process. Their advanced natural language understanding and analysis capabilities will enable more efficient and accurate assessment of candidates' skills and knowledge. This will lead to better matches between employers and job seekers, streamlining the recruitment process, and ultimately improving overall hiring outcomes.

Hi Gary, for different roles there might be different wants. For many engineering roles it might be nice for AI to help you generate interview questions based on a users domain expertise so to test the applicant are their understanding of the technologies they'll be developing on or more importantly troubleshooting the existing codebase as it's iterated on. For less technical roles the interview question generation might be helpful. I personally like to have a conversation while interviewing but having specific questions & exercises is helpful to really qualifier the user beyond conversational understanding. Rather you'd like to see true problem solving capacity. An additional thought might be to have the AI listen to the interview & later transcribe the interview & pull out key points (or fact checks) to then generate the candidate hiring committee report. All those areas might be really helpful in the future to better qualify candidates.

@galluppo Hi Michael, that's super interesting. Do you know anyone working on such product? "AI Listening to interviews"

@gary159 I only know of note taking tools like vowel & a variety of sales platforms that are aiming for the same thing with different use cases.
