It was a whirlwind decision! Being an animal lover, I started by exploring short-named animals. Then, I fused it with what our tool does. After that, I ensured the .com domain was available, and voilร  โ€“ 'ElkQR' was born! ๐ŸฆŒ It represents our passion for simplicity, elegance, and efficiency. We're proud to have a name that echoes our values!

It happens to me with every project that the name of the product is by itself just when we start working on it.

@nickanisimov will you please elaborate a bit more?
Nick from FirstHR
@mrmaqeel In the process of discussing the product idea, my team and I had a couple of ideas for naming, and as a result, we chose the most suitable option.

The name is dyrector.io, and it's because we tried to make an analogy between movie production and software deployment. When they make a movie, the director yells "action!" when it's time to shoot the scene. When our users create a new feature or release their new version, they use our platform to yell "action!" to their new features.

Your name was chosen based on our mission and vision, which is "save our users' day", but in our mother language it also means "save here". You can find out more about us at: https://www.save.day/?utm_source...

Meaningful & Memorable: A name reflecting our core values and easy to recall. Feedback: Gathered input from customers and advisors to refine choices. Scalable: Ensured domain availability and future growth compatibility. I select mine(Homestead Metal Company) with above things

Our startup's name was born from inspired brainstorming ๐Ÿ‘Œ
Mobimag
The name "Mobimag" was chosen because it is a combination of the words "mobile" and "magazine." We are a digital magazine made for mobile devices, so the name "Mobimag" was a natural fit. We wanted a name that was short, easy to remember, and accurately reflected what we do.
Wanted to club the following words- Qualitative + Quantitative + Crypto, hence QUIDO. By the we are live on PH. Check us out- https://www.producthunt.com/post...

The name "ConveyThis" was chosen to reflect our mission of seamless communication and language translation. We believe that conveying ideas across languages should be easy and accessible to all. https://conveythis.com

Same as a lot of people here, we try to mix multiple words together that make sense. We generally find out that the domain name is already taken. We add some letters to have a available domain name without losing the essence of the name. That extra letters to the domain name part is the tricky one. Good luck.
Aqeel
@mho22 But by doing so you cannot take the Brand name. Right?
Yannick
@mrmaqeel I should probably say, unfortunately for us, that the domain name availability influence the brand name.

Both of the co-founders of our company are born and raised in Sweden, and moved from Stockholm to Ho Chi Minh City to start the company. Thus, we wanted to keep the Swedish heritage in our company name. The first app we launched was called Fika - which in Swedish means to "take a coffee break" (and a pretty normal date suggestion). Our second app which we just launched is called Leka - which in Swedish means "to play" where we want to create a playground for Gen Z to be themselves. Finally the parent company is called "Skapa" - which in Swedish means "to create".

To be honest, we went on without a name for a few months but it was always on the back of our minds. We went through multiple brainstorming processes, but eventually... we just had to decide. So we went with what we felt most comfortable with, and we loved it. It was perfect, exactly what we wanted it to sound and feel like. And then, we changed it. And we'll probably change it again. :)
