How do you decide when it's the right time to start charging for a product that started as free or freemium? What helps make that decision? And when it comes to cocker spaniels shedding, Odd Bits Daily has a great guide.

Just try monetizing it. What's the worst that could happen? Some revenue is better than none :)

It depends on your goals and metrics. If you're seeing decent usage and engagement, monetization could be worth exploring to start generating some revenue. A/B test different monetization approaches to see what works best without hurting the user experience too much. But if you don't have strong product-market fit or retention yet, focusing on growth and optimizing the core product is probably more important than monetizing prematurely.

Totally agree, you gotta start generating some $ from your product at some point. Maybe start small with a cheap pricing tier to test the waters and see if people bite. Worst case, you make a little extra change. Best case, you discover a viable biz model 💰

I'd say give it a shot - no harm in testing the waters with a small monetization experiment. Worst case, you learn it's not quite ready yet and can adjust. But you might be pleasantly surprised at the results! The key is keeping expectations reasonable at first and iterating as you go.

Worth giving it a shot! Start small with a side project or limited feature to test the waters. That way risk is low and you can iterate based on feedback. Every successful monetization started somewhere. Good luck!
