How to increase your following on Twitter?

Question

I know the following:
1. Posting content/threads doesn't gain traction
2. Engaging with other accounts that are on the path to boom helps

What else should one do?
How can product hunt play a role in this?

To get more people to follow you on Twitter, it's important to post regularly and talk to your audience. Share content that is interesting and relevant, and use hashtags to get more people to see it. Respond to other users' tweets and share their content by retweeting it. And don't forget to share your Twitter handle on other social media sites or in your email signature to reach more people.

Just be consistent. There really is no "easy" way about it unless you release a product that's groundbreaking or you're a celebrity already

It's a lot about consistency.

If you are just going for followers its pretty simple. Go to a hashtag write everyone who you can like their thing and them followed them. 1/4 - 1/2 will follow you back and you unfollow the other ones. Rinse and repeat to gain 10 easy followers a day.

Now i think this is a bad strat because of quality > quantity but hey if you wanna gain followers that's the way!
