How to grow github account for a short time

Recently I saw a github account about ML, MLOps, PyTorch, and it has 5.3K followers and has only been around for a year. As a developer, I really envy him/her. What should I do? Does anyone know? I'm just a regular developer, and I only have 3 followers in 5 years.
