Hey forks, I just really like the atmospheres in ProductHunt that everybody are willing to help. And the rules of gaining points looks pretty fine. However, my friends and I are all do not know how to do marketing in Reddit. I mean if you don't have enough Karma, nothing you post will show up on the Reddit community. And if everyone cannot see your post how could you collect more Karma? It's like a chicken-and-egg problem. So I would love to know how the smartest and most helpful community will do when you meet this problem?Any recommendations?

If you want to break into reddit space learn about this guy Sam Parr who started this newsletter company The Hustle. He got a lot of traction on reddit. Basically, it boils down to two things: a) Find subreddits where your target audience hangs out b) Engage and post a ton of valuable posts and comments

@devesh_vyas1 Thank u for your kindly suggestion!

Reddit takes a lot of time and effort for what seems like not much in return. It's more for connecting with the community rather than marketing.

@silisolutionist Cannot agree more, it takes more time and get not much in return.

To effectively market on Reddit, focus on these key strategies: Find the right subreddit: Identify niche-specific subreddits related to your product or service. Engage authentically: Participate in discussions, provide value, and avoid blatant self-promotion. Use paid advertising: Consider Reddit's advertising options to target specific audiences. Respect the community: Follow subreddit rules, avoid spam, and build a positive reputation to gain trust and credibility.

Marketing on Reddit can be challenging, but with the right approach, it can be a valuable platform for reaching a highly engaged and diverse audience. To succeed on Reddit, authenticity and transparency are key. Start by becoming an active member of relevant subreddits related to your industry or product, and genuinely participate in discussions without overtly promoting your brand. Share valuable, non-promotional content that resonates with the community. Redditors are known for their disdain of overt advertising, so it's crucial to be subtle in your approach. Engage in conversations, answer questions, and provide valuable insights. When you do promote your product or service, make sure it genuinely adds value to the community. Paid advertising options like Reddit Ads can also be effective when done right. Success on Reddit takes time, but building a positive reputation and trust within the community can lead to organic growth and brand recognition. Remember, the key is to foster real connections and add value rather than focusing solely on self-promotion.
