How to apper on Show HN?

I've submitted my personal finance app Pleke to Show Hacker News as a soft launch to gather feedback before launching on PH. From their rules, submissions will show up on https://news.ycombinator.com/sho... and if they have enough votes they will show up on https://news.ycombinator.com/show which again if they have enough votes will show up on main page. There are two levels to overcome and the rules say to not ask for votes... From what I've watched, some submissions gather votes suspiciously fast meanwhile the majority have no votes because they're on a two levels deep page. Am I missing something or being too prudent on following the rules?
