  • How many hours do you really feel productive at work each day? πŸ˜…

Honestly, I usually get about 4-5 hours of truly productive work done each day. There are times when I'm not as focused, and that's okay. It's important to balance work with breaks to stay effective and avoid burnout.

Depends on the tasks and my mood, but we’re speaking about a real deep focus workflow it’s 4 hours. The rest will be quite superficial.

4-6 productive hours. Rest are conversations, thinking time etc.

I manage about 6 to 7 hours of good work each day. Breaks definitely help maintain focus.

Depends on what i do...When iam doing something i really enjoy, i can work 100% focused 24h straight.... Ofcourse, when i work on some crap, iam glad i make 1 hour... that's really frustrating...

I'm pretty sure you can find scholarly articles about this topic, which will point out to about 4 hours of "productive work" on average. Or so I was told. I personally do 45min deep work/15min breaks from 9am to 5pm on average. Some days I work more than others, but it all depends on the nature of the job (contracted or freelance) and how much I have to turn over that day. When I've had jobs with a schedule like 9-5pm, or in remote settings actually 9 or 10am-9pm, I know I'm in front of the computer for most of that time, except for lunch time (1-2 hours), but tbh I have no idea how much I work unless I'm tracking hours. Some days were only 2 hours and others up to 12 hours... Of course some of this time is not as "productive", i.e. I could look for images from an image bank for 1 hour or 2 and had to stop tracking because I felt guilty. Work-related "productive" time is very relative

Oh, about as rare as a bug-free code - I aim for a solid 4 hours of productivity at work daily. Gotta keep that coding engine fueled with breaks, right?

On a good day, it does go upto 8 hours, but the average will end up somewhere around 4-5 hours for every decent employee. I believe this amount of undisturbed productivity is good to achieve a lot of milestones. Its scientifically proven that human brain cant focus more than 15-20 minutes without taking a break. Breaks are important to stay focused and productive.

Honestly, it all depends on the days. Some days I can be super productive for 6 hours if the tasks are challenging. And other days, I can be productive for 3 hours if the tasks are less stimulating. It's all about stimulation on my end. And coffee to keep me awake.
