How many devs here built before validating their ideas?

Guilty as charged. How many of you have done this, launched it here and gotten some feedback on whether the product is useless or needs some tweeking? I have a product built and want to launch it soon. There are two competitors that I know of so I guess there is some PMF but I never went out and validated anything.
