How I got 5th place without having an audience

Hey, I'm the maker of ReplyMore, I was able to rank 5th in my first ever launch with only 50 followers on twitter.
A lot asked me how I did it so here it is :
Step 1 : have a good product
Step 2 : promote it like your life depends on it
Key thing : If you don't have an audience you need to be proactive in your promotion. Instead of promoting it once you need to do it 100x.
So how I did it was basically I reached out to everyone I know on linkedin, this got me the first couple of upvotes. But then things started to slow down.
I had already posted the demo on twitter but it didn't get much traction, around 200 views.
I needed to do something, so I actually used the extension I was launching (ReplyMore) to try to make 100 replies to hopefully get some traction for the launch
Quickly people started to noticing, they see my replies, go on my profile, like and retweet the demo video. A lot of big accounts shared it.
The demo went semi-viral (24k views) and we we're able to get #5 place on PH.
The most important thing to keep in mind when replying is to keep you replies authentic and relevant to the original tweet, so that the tweet owner likes it and it becomes the first reply people see.
PS : you need to stop thinking that you'll annoy people. Only reach out to people that you know will like to support you (other indiehackers). They'll be glad to provide help. It's only spam when you reply with something irrelevant.

Despite lacking an audience, my journey to achieving 5th place was marked by perseverance and strategic planning. While many competitors relied on crowd support, I focused on honing my skills and leveraging online resources. Utilizing platforms like https://myfavouriteplaces.org/, I gathered invaluable insights and refined my approach. Through dedication and resourcefulness, I navigated the competition landscape, surprising even myself with the outcome. This experience reaffirmed the power of determination and utilizing available tools to succeed, irrespective of external factors.
