Feedback can be tricky. Sometimes, it feels like criticism rather than a helpful guide. But whether it's about our work or personal life, feedback can be a powerful tool for improvement. ⚒
I'm curious—how do you take feedback in your professional and personal life? 🧐

I view it as a valuable tool for growth and learning. Try to focus on the constructive elements and see it as a way to enhance my work or communication.

At the end of the day, I try to find the useful aspects of the feedback, even if it's not all positive.

Persoanlly, i know there is an art of giving clear feedback. But when I am on the receiving end, I take deep breaths and maintain a composed demeanour, even if the feedback is not clear or seems like a personal attack
With a clenched fist
I listen closely, ask questions if needed, and then use the feedback to set goals or find resources for improvement.
I try to separate my emotions from the feedback and focus on the message. Constructive criticism helps me refine my approach and achieve better results.
I'm grateful for feedback from anyone. It is important, however, to assess the validity of the feedback given the context of the situation and project to determine if it's actionable.
With an uppercut followed by a roundhouse kick. Jk, I actually find that the best way to handle feedback is to first take a deep breath, then sincerely thank the person for taking the time to provide their input (even if it's hard to hear). After that, I objectively evaluate the merit of their feedback before deciding how to act on it. Easier said than done, but it helps keep the emotions in check!
With a smile on my face! 😄 But seriously, I try to take a step back, consider it objectively to see if there's any truth to it, and then either use it to improve or just let it roll off my back if it's unhelpful. Having a process helps keep emotions in check. Anyone have other good feedback handling tips?
Haha, feedback definitely packs a punch! 👊 But seriously, I try to stay open to feedback, actively listen to understand the core message, and focus the discussion on how to improve rather than getting defensive. Easier said than done sometimes, but it's essential for growth. Anyone have tips for receiving tough feedback gracefully?
Haha yeah feedback can definitely feel like a punch sometimes! I try to remember it usually comes from a good place. Find the nugget of truth, focus on what's actionable, and don't take it personally. Easier said than done tho! 🥊😅 Curious what tactics others use to receive feedback gracefully.
I handle feedback positively by viewing it as a chance to improve and grow. I always try to learn something new from it.
Constructive feedback is always a gift! My go-to: 1) Listen with an open mind, even if it stings. 2) Say thanks & that you appreciate their input. 3) Reflect on what they said to extract any actionable insights. 4) If it's on point, make a game plan to address it. 5) Circle back to share how their feedback helped you level up. Feedback done right = 🚀 fuel!
Without taking it personally!
I focus on the actionable parts of feedback and apply them to my work. It helps me make meaningful changes.
Handling feedback can be challenging for me but I try to approach it with an open mind. I remind myself that it's meant to help grow, even if it doesn't always feel that way.
I try to take feedback positively, but it’s tough when it feels more like criticism. I focus on the actionable points and try not to let the negativity get to me.
Sometimes, I struggle with feedback especially if it feels overly critical. But I try to take a step back and evaluate the points made to see if there’s value in them.
I always appreciate detailed feedback and make sure to ask follow-up questions if needed. It helps me clarify any uncertainties and apply the suggestions effectively.
