How do you think one should go about determining how a posting on PH is fruitful

I've posted my products on PH before, and despite the number of people who came to view my products on the day of posting, they simply showed up on the day of posting and then disappeared. Is it possible that the vast majority of people come to PH to post their products, generate interactions and points for the sake of posting their products, and don't really get interested in products outside of their own product type.
